Really yummy pasta alternatives

When you're managing diabetes you need to be careful of your carbohydrate intake. This doesn't mean you can't eat things like pasta but portion control is the key to this. Portion control plates are a great way to help but here are some other delicious alternatives too.

Soba noodles are packed with fibre and protein and have a nuttier taste than traditional pasta.

Shirataki noodles are primarily made of fiber and contain virtually no fat or calories. They come in a package of liquid and are usually sold in the produce section alongside tofu.

Or you can make your own using butternut squash or zucchini!
